On June 30, 2026, the Offshore Substation (OSS) platform for the Fengmiao 1 Offshore Wind Farm was successfully loaded out onto a barge, marking a significant project milestone following the completion of onshore fabrication and ahead of transportation to the offshore installation site.
The project’s offshore substation is equipped with two 305 MVA power transformers and two 85 MVAr shunt reactors. These critical components play an essential role in collecting electricity generated by the wind turbines and transmitting it to the onshore power grid.
For the Fengmiao 1 project, PowerMore is responsible for key electrical testing and commissioning activities, including pre-installation primary electrical testing, Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), vacuum treatment, and insulating oil filtration for the power transformers and shunt reactors. These activities contribute to ensuring installation quality, equipment reliability, and readiness for the subsequent phases of project execution.
The successful completion of the OSS platform load-out represents another important step forward in the Fengmiao 1 project schedule. It also marks the beginning of the next phase, covering offshore transportation and installation, followed by system preparation and commissioning toward planned operation.
