1. Project Overview
- Project Name: Active Harmonic Filtering at ICT Vina Factory
- Project Summary: In April 2023, PowerMore successfully commissioned an ADF active harmonic filtering system at ICT Vina Factory. The solution was implemented to mitigate harmonic distortion generated by CNC machinery and bring harmonic levels into compliance with Vietnam’s Circular No. 30/2019/TT-BCT.
- Industry / Sector: Manufacturing / Power Quality
- Project Type: Active Harmonic Filtering and Power Quality Improvement
- Implementation Date: April 2023

2. PowerMore’s Scope of Work
For this project, PowerMore was responsible for the following key activities:
- Providing a harmonic mitigation solution tailored to the factory’s actual operating conditions.
- Deploying an ADF active harmonic filtering system at ICT Vina Factory.
- Commissioning and putting the harmonic filtering system into operation.
- Monitoring and evaluating power quality after system commissioning.

3. Project Highlights & Business Value
ICT Vina is part of Dentium’s global manufacturing network. Dentium is a manufacturer of premium dental implant systems serving dental professionals in more than 80 countries worldwide. Due to the factory’s extensive use of CNC machinery, its electrical system was exposed to significant harmonic currents.
High harmonic distortion can adversely affect a manufacturing facility’s electrical infrastructure. Potential risks include excessive equipment heating, reduced system reliability, and a higher likelihood of electrical issues during operation.
Drawing on its expertise in power quality solutions, PowerMore deployed an ADF active harmonic filtering solution to mitigate harmonic distortion generated by the factory’s CNC machinery. The solution helps improve the stability of the electrical system while providing additional protection for critical equipment throughout the manufacturing process.
Following the commissioning of the ADF active harmonic filter, harmonic levels at ICT Vina Factory were effectively reduced. The achieved results met Vietnam’s power quality requirements under Circular No. 30/2019/TT-BCT and were also aligned with internationally recognized IEC and IEEE standards.
