1. Project Overview
Project Name: Medium-Voltage Current-Limiting Reactor for the 500kV Nghi Son Substation
Project Summary:
PowerMore completed the supply and installation of a medium-voltage short-circuit current-limiting reactor for the 500kV Nghi Son Substation. The equipment was deployed as part of the substation’s electrical system to support safe, stable, and reliable operation.
Industry / Sector: Power Transmission / Substation / Medium-Voltage Electrical Equipment
Project Type: Supply and installation of a medium-voltage short-circuit current-limiting reactor
Location: 500kV Nghi Son Substation, Vietnam
2. PowerMore’s Scope of Work
For this project, PowerMore was responsible for the following key scope:
- Supply of a medium-voltage short-circuit current-limiting reactor for the 500kV Nghi Son Substation.
- On-site installation of the equipment.
3. Project Highlights & Value
The 500kV Nghi Son Substation is part of Vietnam’s power transmission infrastructure, where medium-voltage equipment must meet stringent requirements for operational safety, stability, and system reliability.
For this project, PowerMore supplied and installed a medium-voltage short-circuit current-limiting reactor at the substation. The reactor is designed to help limit short-circuit current within the electrical system, thereby reducing electrical stress on system equipment and supporting safer and more reliable substation operation.
Through the successful implementation of this scope, PowerMore contributed to strengthening the operational stability and safety of the electrical system at the 500kV Nghi Son Substation.
